In the 1980s, it was divided into two groups: the District Beekeepers’ Club (RKP) with about 150 members and the Commune-Municipal Beekeepers’ Club with about 50 members. Stanisław Dudewicz became the president of the RKP, and Marian Ptasiński became the president of the Municipal-Municipal Circle. The RKP Management Board took care of the education of beekeepers by inviting specialists in the field of beekeeping (Jan Plewa, Krzysztof Loc, Prof. Andrzej Pidek) and organizing trips to Puławy and Olecko. Members of the District Beekeepers’ Association participated in large numbers in the Apimondia Congress in 1987. At that time, the boards of both Circles were also involved in the distribution of sugar and medicines against varroa.
